Only 13 days left in NZ!

Our time in New Zealand is rapidly coming to an end - only 13 days until we fly back to Australia. This extended holiday has been incredible! We have had so many fun and interesting experiences with family and friends. We've attended weddings, parties, visited new places, visited places we've been before, learned new skills (eg snorkelling & spear fishing), been inspired to try new things now & to persue in the future. We have made new friends, caught up with old ones, eaten lots of delicious food, seen movies, plays, exhibitions, tourist attractions and beautiful scenery. We've played sport, exercised(sporadically), been active in the great outdoors and have also had times where we have rested and relaxed. We know how truly blessed we are and what a special place New Zealand is. There is no place like Aoteroa! We will be sad to leave but are also looking forward to our new adventure in Australia!

Frustration!

I am really sorry all - I had great intentions of creating an interesting blog but I cannot upload photos to this blog. I'll keep trying but it is getting rather frustrating so I might have to can it yet. You certainly don't want to see lots of words only!

First Post!

We are in Paraparaumu, near Wellington.  We have had a great Easter weekend with John's family.  His sister, Angela got married to Rocky.  We went to Te Papa - New Zealand's National Museum - we all enjoyed it very much.  We saw amazing meccano models and went on two simulator rides which were very cool.  We ate at a great restaurant called Wagamammas - yummy Japanese food!
We are going back to Jules' brother's place today and then to Taupo on Friday for a week.
