Work, work, work!

Sorry there has been no update for some time. We are back in 'the real world' (boo, hoo).
We are all gainfully employed in some way - Nic & Catherine are at Freshwater School, John is a 'conveyor technician' & I am a Year 6 teacher.
Can't believe how quickly one's life can change!
One minute we are enjoying a 'grey nomadic' lifestyle - cruising from one fantastic place to the next, hardly a care in the world, seeing the sights, tasting local delicacies, checking out the tourist spots - neck minit (a Kiwi saying), we are working & schooling like the rest of you!
I've taken on a contract teaching an unruly Year 6 class (they won't be for long I say with determination & 'some' conviction) until the end of term. It's a challenge & doing my head in but I've committed myself now!
I've lost my house husband as John has a job in a steel factory (a conveyor technician he is!). The kids come to school with me every day. It's a big shock for them too - from a school of 70 kids to 700!
We are trying to make the most of our weekends. We spent last weekend on a beautiful launch out on the Great Barrier Reef with friends. Truly awesome - snorkelling & spear fishing! We ate the delicious fruits of the boys labour that night - you can't get better than fresh fish!
Our family & friends here in Cairns are all into cross fit, so of course, we're not ones to miss out. It's not feeling that great yet to put yourself through vigorous workouts but hopefully soon the endorphins will kick in (or so they tell us!). You do have to balance it out with some moderate drinking to relax of course!
We do like this lifestyle of living in different places - the work part is a necessary 'challenge' but now that we've done it, some stints in different parts of Oz may be the way of the future - who knows?!
Don't fret you Amamoorians - we'll be back at the end of the year!
Take care all - not long to Chrissy (as if you want to be reminded). Hang in there - we are!
